Stillwater Wildlife Refuge, Fallon - Nevada




If you happen to travel through Fallon Nevada, stop at Stillwater Wildlife Refuge and take a drive.




There are several stopping points with interesting facts about the area. We saw 2 coyotes and birds.



We were there in late September and the weather was great.  Cool at night though.

Walk-in closet renovation

When we started our travels August 1st 2019, we had created a walk-in closet in the back of the living room.  Downsizing was tough enough, so I at least had to hold on to something that was dear to me: My rather large assortment of clothes...well and shoes!  One has to travel in style, you know. The back of the trailer when we originally started to renovate. BEFORE we ever put in the walk-in closet. Then came the finished walk-in closet that didn't survive. In order to house these clothes and all, Joe had to build a clothes rack,  that stretched from wall to wall. Then we also had brought 2 dressers from our previous home, for that space. It was a good set up because it was all situated under the king sized loft, that was above. This loft was then used as additional storage space. Well the rough Texas highways did a number on this construction. First, half of the above loft partially collapsed.  Joe fixed it by reinforcing the structure....

Fort Desoto Paw Park, Florida

         Fort Desoto PAW PARK This large grassy dog park can be found inside the Fort Desoto (Pinellas County) Park in the greater Tampa Bay area of Florida.   If you happen to visit the nearby Fort Desoto campground or are just visiting the county park, it is very dog friendly. Adjacent to the dog park is the dog beach that attracts dog owners who want to treat their dogs ( and often themselves) to a day at the beach and a dip in the beautiful turquois Gulf of Mexico.  The PAW Park is separated by  small and large dogs areas. Both have a nice tall fence and some shade along with benches for the humans. What I like is that there are water bowls, faucets and hoses.  So on a hot day ( and there are plenty in southern Florida) you can hose down your hot dog or rinse him after a swim in the ocean to get rid of the saltwater or just to cool down your furr baby.  Pros : - well ke...
