Destin Army Recreation Area, FL

Image
The Destin Army Recreation Area Florida   🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝  The location and cost of this place are the best features.  On one side of this park you have awesome views of Choctawhatchee Bay and another 3 miles (approximately) and you are at the beach.   This campground is a combination of RV sites with a handful of pull thru's but mostly back in sites that can take a little navigation to squeeze in. The other feature here are the guest houses and "hotel rooms " that are available for rent.  Most of these have bay views. For kids there's a splash park and play ground. The swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool is a definite bonus with its shady covered areas to just "be ". We paid $ 40 per night for our full hookup site. Prices vary by rank.  For us, this is on the upper end of what we are used to paying at FamCamps/military installations but fact is, you pay more because you are at a desirable area of Florida.  Click on the link below for more info about this RV park:  htt

Kirtland Famcamp   Albuquerque   New Mexico   ***************** We arrived at this green and smaller RV park/Famcamp on Labor Day.  The registration office was not staffed, but check-in instructions were sufficient.  The park operates on a first come first serve basis.  Registration building, bathrooms & laundry:  Picture below:  The very impressive and fully covered playground is right in the park, adjacent to the dog run area. It is pet friendly with a great, well maintained, mostly shaded dog park within the RV park, that even has an agility course!  Wow. Very impressive. SEE PICTURE BELOW: We give this park,  that is in close proximity to most amenities, 👍👍!
