To grow one must venture

Howdie!  Its been a while.  As I am writing this I am in flight. Somewhere halfway between Tampa,  FL and Las Vegas, NV. I see the occasional patch of snow passing by thousands of feet below me, in what seems like slow motion.  One of the reasons I so longed to leave Colorado, one year and 5 months ago, was to get away from the snow.  Now below me these occasional patches are turning into larger areas.  Trees and hills are turning white, too.  I am on my way to California. Where 6 months ago I ventured to Tijuana, Mexico for dental work. Now its time to get the job finished. But that might just be another blog soon!

Our journey has taken us to so many places. So many new life experiences. Our relationship has grown immensely because we managed to push forward.  A shared goal in mind: To see and  experience new things and grow together as a couple and eventually gain clarity of what it is that we want to see and be at the end of our RV journey.

Now one of the things Joe and I agree on is that we are ready to go back to the old fashioned lifestyle that includes owning a home. A yard for the puppies to run around and play fiercely. A
dining table big enough to have friends gather around it and share meals and good times. A bathroom with a tub! Long showers without the chance to run out of hot water. Water pressure?  Nope, its not overrated!

We've done simple for a long while now.  Oh no, I am not complaining.  To gain insight and to appreciate the little things in life mentioned above,  one must experience diversity,  right?

I love our 5th wheel home.  I love that we transformed it to a HOME. Its not your typical generic trailer.  Its our creation of what we wanted to BE in after giving up life as we knew it,  to find a newer version of ourselves on the road less traveled.

We've met many nice people along the way. It makes my heart happy to think of the times when strangers stepped forward to offer a helping hand. In Oklahoma,  when our truck made it only to the next parking lot, pulling our 35 feet home behind, then it stopped and lost all of its power. With the help of a random wonderful person, our trailer and truck made it back to our starting point where it took Joe another 2 days to troubleshoot, come to a conclusion,  get the parts and fix the darn thing.
People generally want to help.  And when you step away from your daily little safety bubble you learn just how many eye opening experiences await you!

At the end of the day, no matter where we were at the time, it all came down to working as a team. And that we did. Sharing thoughts creates dialog. That is needed to figure out when the time has come to creature yet another chapter for us. We still want to see the world and travel.
We have faith that once we set our new first goal of staying put in the St. Pete,  Florida area into motion, the how's and when's will unfold themselves in front of us.

For now this is what we know for sure:

April 15th 2021 marks the last day at Yankee Traveler RV Park in Largo, Florida.  April 15th also marks the first day of our new camp host job at Fort Desoto Park, Florida.

The beginning of that is not too far ahead of us and I can't wait to share what's next with you,  as I always do!

Remember when they say "you can't ", do it! Do it twice and take pictures.
